If you travel to or from Piedmont via Varese or Como, there are freeway sections (A36, A59, A60) which are chargeable, and the fee is automatically charged via Telepass. If you travel to or from Piedmont by using A33 (Asti - Cuneo) be aware about the so called free flow system, a toll collection method that allows tolls to be paid without stopping or slowing down at barriers.
